Meet Dr Dr Bryan Ong

After graduating from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Dental Science with Honours, Dr. Bryan left to work in rural Queensland country towns like Goondiwindi, St. George, and Moranbah. Dr. Bryan fell in love with the rural country lifestyle when he did his placements in St. George and Dalby as a dental student. He felt the need to continue serving and help to give back to the community, especially in rural remote towns with difficult access to good quality dentistry. It was in these rural towns where he saw the need to provide excellent long-lasting dentistry work for patients with high caries risk and patients severely worn down and missing teeth. Despite being far away located in remote locations, this did not stop Dr. Bryan from continuing to pursue a further dental education and improving his dentistry skills. He had received multiple bursaries and scholarships to travel to Brisbane and Sydney to learn from dental specialists about implants, veneers, crowns, and bridges to help restore complex full mouth rehabilitation cases to restore new smile and function.

Dr. Bryan believes the mouth is quite a sensitive part of the human body, and that most people do not like the dentist because of the pain and discomfort from dentistry and the embarrassment. Therefore, Dr. Bryan tries to build a healthy and honest relationship with his patients even from a young age. He has done a few community dentistry programs where he visited childcare centers, early childhood centers, primary schools, and aged care facilities to teach about the importance of oral hygiene with tips and tricks of maintaining them. Dr. Bryan also has a hidden talent for making special balloons, remember to ask your kids to get one from him next time when you visit him.
